Château Les Moines 2016

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Flavor Profile
When our Bordeaux expert discovered Château Les Moines, he knew you simply had to taste the estate’s flagship 2016 release. It’s a wine with literally everything going for it.
First, there’s the region. The Médoc is “the most famous red wine district in Bordeaux, and possibly the world,” writes Master of Wine Jancis Robinson. And thanks to the glorious 2016 vintage, conditions in this storied region were at their apex. This means that Château Les Moines’ Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes thrived, producing a wine of serious depth and complexity.
Second, there’s the legacy. Estate proprietor Claude Pourreau comes from a long line of talented winemakers and has owned Château Les Moines since 1968. He brings generations of expertise to bear for each wine he makes – and his 2016 release was so good, it was designated Cru Bourgeois for its high quality and boasts THREE gold medals from some of France’s most prestigious competitions.
With its ripe blackberry, black currant, and earthy spice flavors, Château Les Moines will make an impressive centerpiece for a dinner party. Pair it with juicy filet mignon, garlicky lamb chops, or stuffed vegetables, or enjoy before or after dinner with firm, aged cheeses.
By far one of our most exciting Bordeaux finds in years. Order now to claim your share of this triple-gold Médoc Cru Bourgeois.
