Domaine Martin Plan de Dieu Côtes du Rhône-Villages 2016

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Brothers David and Eric Martin are fifth-generation winemakers with a long history of snagging top acclaim for their creations. Their Côtes-du-Rhône-Village release from the historic Plan de Dieu region boasts 90 Decanter points and offers a delicious taste from the “truly extraordinary” 2016 vintage (Jeb Dunnuck).
The fantastic growing conditions made for extra intensity in this classic Rhône blend of Grenache and Syrah. It was aged for 24 months in old oak casks for a luxuriously smooth texture. And with a few extra years of age in bottle, it’s reached its peak drinking window.
Just look to Decanter’s mouthwatering tasting note for what to expect: “The spicy, peppery nose has good intensity of blackberry, raspberry and damson fruit. The palate is fresh and vivid, well balanced. 90 points.”
The Martins are known for wines with a wonderful balance of tradition and modern approachability. They’re passionate about preserving the family heritage—and this latest release is delicious evidence of their talents.
Very few cases imported—early orders are highly recommended.
