Flavor Profile
Jumilla is “the most underrated wine region in Europe,” says Tim Atkin, MW. Its sandy, sun-scorched soils are home to the world’s oldest Monastrell vines. And this luscious taste is not to be missed.
It’s the limited-edition ‘big brother’ of our popular El Campeador red, and it more than lives up to its valiant namesake. A blend of inky-colored, black-fruited Monastrell (Jumilla’s star grape) and elegant Tempranillo, the 2014 was aged for two years in barrel, plus further time in bottle for extra mellow complexity.
Boasting ripe black cherry and strawberry flavors, plus hints of vanilla spice from the barrel aging, it’s silky-smooth and ready to enjoy. A perfect match for roasted lamb, firm cheeses and more.
Supplies limited—don’t delay.
