Beyond the Label

Ruth Chavarri makes some of our most popular Riojas – so you can imagine our smiling faces when she sent us this gorgeous rosado. And knowing all our thirsty rosé fans, we’re pretty sure it will make you smile, too.

It hails from the Chavarris’ estate vineyards in Rioja’s premium Alavesa district, and was crafted with Tempranillo grown on gnarled, old vines. These low-yielding heirlooms produce seriously concentrated grapes, so the wine really bursts with juicy-ripe, red-berry charm. You won’t be surprised to learn, then, that it won a gold medal from Gilbert & Gaillard. Judges gave it this enticing tasting note:

“Pleasant nose marrying sour cherry, red berry fruits and spices. Consistent, juicy, succulent palate ... Designed for food.”

Our favorite match is Spanish-inspired tapas like silky jamón serrano, gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp), simple olives, and more. But this lovely pink will also delight alongside fresh seafood, barbecued meats, or summer salads.

Trust us, you’ll be happy to have a bottle (or three) tucked away in your fridge door. Order your share today.
