Flavor Profile
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the great grapes of Bordeaux, but you’ll also find top-value examples in southern France… like Prestige de Mireval Cabernet Sauvignon, which bursts with luscious dark fruits with a long, complex finish. It’s a delicious introduction to the grape produced in the historic Comté Tolosan region, where winemaking dates back to Roman times.
It’s also a great introduction to talented winemaker Nicole McPheeters, who’s a real rising star. To make the wine, she selected beautifully ripe grapes from a vineyard overlooking the river Tarn, where the waters’ moderating influence helps grapes retain freshness and the sunny Mediterranean climate encouraged intense fruit flavor. (Mireval means ‘one who overlooks the valley’ in the local Occitan dialect.)

One sip of this fine Cabernet and you’ll understand why it boasts a history of gold-medal acclaim. Order your share today and prepare to enjoy it alongside barbecue, game meats or hearty stews.
