Born to pair deliciously with a tri-tip cut of beef, this luscious, gently oak-aged Malbec hails from Paso Robles and the stellar 2018 vintage. Presented in a 1.5-liter MAGNUM bottle, it will be an impressive centerpiece to any dinner party.

Beyond the Label

Malbec’s been seriously popular with steak lovers for years, thanks to its typically bold fruit, hints of spicy chocolate and velvety tannins. Presented in a 1.5-liter MAGNUM bottle, Tri-Tip takes this perfect pairing to delicious new levels.

When our California expert, Clare Tooley, tasted this Paso Robles-grown Malbec at a local winery, she knew she’d found something special. The estate’s proprietors were so pleased with her enthusiastic response, they sent her home with a bottle—and the promise that a good deal could be made, so long as she didn’t divulge their identity (to protect their normally much higher prices).

On the menu at Clare’s house that night? Tri-tip steak, flame-grilled with her husband’s secret-recipe rub. The match was so delicious, she went back to the winery the next day and sealed the tasty deal—and also convinced them to name the wine after that fantastic cut of beef. Here’s Clare on what you can expect in the glass:

“It’s just such a pretty wine. The nose is full-on crushed forest strawberry with hints of ripe exotic fruits—fabulously expressive! The palate is balanced and oh-so luscious, with layer after layer of red and black berries and creamy chocolate.”

This is one rich, steak-ready red you’re not going to want to miss—but we have very limited cases of the MAGNUM-sized bottles. Order now to ensure you share.
