Tri-Tip Malbec 2018
Born to pair deliciously with a tri-tip cut of beef, this luscious, gently oak-aged Malbec hails from Paso Robles and the excellent 2018 vintage.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Beyond the Label

Malbec’s been seriously popular with steak lovers for years, thanks to its typically bold fruit, hints of spicy chocolate, and velvety tannins.

It’s normally a star in Argentina, but when our California expert, Clare Tooley, tasted this Paso Robles-grown version at a local winery, she knew she’d found something special. The estate’s proprietors were so pleased with her enthusiastic response, they sent her home with a bottle – and the promise that a good deal could be made, so long as she didn’t divulge their identity (to protect their normally much higher prices).

On the menu at Clare’s house that night? Tri-tip steak, flame-grilled with her family's secret-recipe spice rub. The match was so delicious, she went back to the winery the next day and sealed the tasty deal – and also convinced them to name the wine after that fantastic cut of beef. Here’s Clare on what you can expect in the glass in the new 2018 release:

“Again, this is such a pretty Malbec. Like the previous vintages, the nose is all about crushed strawberries with hints of ripe exotic fruits – so expressive! The palate’s lush and balanced and is like a layer cake of red and black berries and creamy chocolate on the finish.”

This is one rich red you’re not going to want to miss. And based on Malbec's popularity and this one's limited availability, the sell-out risk is high. Hurry for your share.
