Beyond the Label

Bordeaux is prized by wine lovers and collectors the world over and we have an exciting release to share. Château Petit Moulin de Pourquey hails from the excellent 2020 vintage—a year that produced Cabernet-Merlot classics of remarkable intensity and elegance.

Made with Merlot (50%), plus doses of Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Cabernet Franc (20%), it brims with rich dark-fruit notes. You’ll enjoy Merlot’s velvety texture, Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure and Cabernet Franc’s vibrant aromatics. Grown on sandy clay soils, the grapes also bring extra complexity to the wine’s flavors.

It also boasts a gold medal from Gilbert & Gaillard and the judges’ tasting note says it all: “The palate is fresh, balanced and more intense on the finish. Softness and balance make this a pleasant Bordeaux.”

This one is guaranteed to be a winner on your dinner table, too. If time allows, we recommend decanting the wine at least an hour ahead of serving to open its full spectrum of aromas and flavors. Then enjoy alongside rich foods like a fork-tender pot roast or a well-seasoned venison filet and roasted fingerling potatoes.
