Domaine de Buadelle Minervois 2016

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

We’re thrilled to introduce our first-ever wine from Domaine de Buadelle. This acclaimed estate lies in the Minervois, a historic village in southern France known for its ancient vines and “high-caliber reds at low prices” (Wine Spectator). The 2016 vintage was superb here, and proprietor Alexis Metge really made the most of it to craft this stunning red ...
Domaine de Buadelle is a classic marriage of Grenache (40%), Carignan (40%), and Syrah (20%). All the grapes were hand harvested from Alexis’s old, low-yielding vines, grown in the shadow of the Montagne Noire range. These gnarled heirlooms yield precious little fruit, but the grapes they do produce offer seriously concentrated flavor.
Thanks to the quality of the vintage, and the expertise of Alexis’s team, the wine debuted to a gold medal from France’s prestigious Gilbert & Gaillard guide. Judges raved: “Silky, full-bodied, concentrated, with ripe flavors and a lovely fragrance ... Charming.”
Look forward to ripe blackberry and black currant notes, supported by exotic spices and hints of garrigue, southern France’s classic wild herb characters. Try it with roasted game meats, hearty stews, and more.
Hurry to secure your share of this charming French red.
