Domaine des Nazins Brouilly 2024

Wine Details
Flavor Profile
When it comes to balance, charm and full, unrestrained drinking pleasure, few red wines can match Beaujolais. Made in a French region of the same name from the Gamay grape, they’re known to be fruit forward and immediately compelling, regardless of age. And Domaine des Nazins Brouilly, a Cru Beaujolais, sourced exclusively from one of the area’s 10 officially recognized “crus,” represents the best of the bunch. Equal parts juicy and nuanced, it represents a huge value, too.
Brouilly is the southernmost and most extensive of the Beaujolais crus, and like the rest of the region, specializes in Gamay. Unlike the other areas however, its expressions of the grape are quite robust, and even weighty on the palate.
Somehow, winemaker Jean-Yves Bouillat managed to craft bottling so that it walks the tightrope between the lighter and heavier styles with ease. The incredible skill is undoubtedly part of the reason the famed Brac de La Perrière family decided to leave him in charge of their flagship Cru Brouilly estate, Domaine des Nazins.
Just one sip will show you just what we mean: Expect big and juicy red cherry, strawberry and raspberry flavors lifted by floral tones, a subtle minerality and spice. It’s silky, joyous and available in somewhat limited quantities—order yours today.
