Beyond the Label

From the quality-obsessed (multi-award-winning) team at Farnese Vini, this crisp, racy Trebbiano has had a loyal following among our customers for years. And, with good reason: it’s full of zippy tropical fruit and impeccable character.

As its many fans will tell you, Farnese stands for unbeatable quality and value. So it’s no wonder they were voted Italian Winery of the Year three years in a row by the country’s highly influential Luca Maroni wine guide (no easy feat). Maroni also loved this 2018 edition of their Trebbiano – he rated it 92 points.

In the hands of master winemaker Filippo Baccalaro, this grape really surpasses its traditional reputation as a ‘workhorse’ white variety. Low-yielding (flavor-boosting) old vines and Filippo's deft touch ensure beguiling glassfuls of fresh lemon, melon and citrus, plus a distinctive almond character only found in the best examples.

A chic aperitivo, this acclaimed white is also a winner with Italian staples like prosciutto e melone (prosciutto-wrapped melon) and light, olive-oil based pastas like spaghetti con tonno (tuna). Speaking of which, if you visit Farnese, their estate pasta chef would be happy to whip something up for you!
