Amandla, meaning “power within us” in the local Zulu dialect, is a truly one-of-a-kind venture. The South African wine business is entirely run by Black women, and their delicious wines celebrate the vibrancy of Black culture.

Praisy Dlamini is the brilliant winemaker behind Amandla. She has fifteen vintages under her belt, starting out at the historic Zonnebloem estate. She’s also the first woman in the Cape Winemakers Guild. Last year, she hand-crafted and released her first Amandla wines…and made waves.
