Cabalié Coup de Coeur 2018

Cabalié Coup de Coeur 2018
Hervé Sabardeil’s Cabalié is our richest French red (and a longtime customer favorite). Richer still is his “super cuvée” version that’s crafted from ancient vines and aged in fine oak; guaranteed to win the heart of any BIG reds fan.

Wine Details

Flavor Profile

Wine Flavor Profile
Cabalié ‘Coup de Coeur’ is a big, full-bodied red with complex blackberry, toast, and cocoa aromas. Powerful and well-balanced, the palate delivers more luscious, spicy, black-fruit flavors. Silky, lingering finish.
Wine Food Pairings
Red meats (game, lamb), vegetarian stews, turkey, pork.
Beyond the Label

Cabalié has long held the title of “richest French red in our cellars.” With a depth of flavor (and loyal following) few wines can match, it’s truly a “full-bodied fruit bomb” (The Wine Advocate).

Well, there’s BIG NEWS for Cabalié fans. Hervé Sabardeil has crafted a Cabalié Coup de Coeur – an even richer, more indulgent super cuvée from ancient Grenache and Carignan vines (some over 100 years old).

The inaugural release debuted to a gold medal from top wine guide Gilbert & Gaillard. Judges gave it this impressive tasting note: “Appealing nose of blackberry, toast, cocoa, and fine spices. The palate is powerful, well-balanced, and highly aromatic. A very gratifying wine for ribeye steak.” Aged six months in oak, the 2018 edition has arrived and is every bit as impressive as its gold-medal predecessor.

Old vines mean two things. Enormous flavor impact and tiny volumes. You’ll want to order ASAP if you want to get your hands on this.
