When it comes to Bordeaux, our mission is simple: seek out small, quality-focused estates that are producing wines of impressive flavor and value. Located in the Entre-deux-Mers (where producers “are seriously trying to make wines of note,” says The World Atlas of Wine), Château du Haut Chevalier delivers both with their Cuvée Marine.

This boutique gem hails from 2016, which “is the third outstanding vintage in a row for Bordeaux ... an excellent year, producing dynamic and well-structured wines” (expert James Suckling). A classic blend of plummy Merlot (70%), deep Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and velvety Malbec (10%), Cuvée Marine boasts not one, but THREE, coveted gold medals.

Gilbert & Gaillard judges raved: “The palate is robust and shows fruity accents rapidly flowing into oak. A wine that captures the spirit of the times.” With its ripe, black-fruit flavors and toasty spice notes, Cuvée Marine will also capture the attention of your guests – especially if you serve it with roasted duck, lamb chops, or hearty vegetarian fare.
