Wine Details

Beyond the Label

Over the last 35 years, the Paris family have renovated and modernized their small estate in the heart of Bordeaux’s premium Médoc region—“the most famous red wine district in Bordeaux, and possibly the world,” says Jancis Robinson, MW. As you’ll taste in this gorgeous release, their dedication to quality definitely shows in the glass.

Château Paris is their Grand Vin, marrying Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the family’s prime-sited vineyards and a fantastic year. “2018 is unquestionably an extraordinary vintage,” writes Master of Wine Julia Harding.

With delicate floral-spice aromas and velvety black-fruit flavors, it’s an elegant, complex wine that deserves a place on your dinner table.

As with most young Bordeaux, this fine Médoc will benefit from being decanted about 30 minutes before you plan to enjoy it. This will open up its full aroma and flavor complexity. When it’s time to pour, the Paris family recommend pairing it with red meats like lamb chops, brisket or steak. Other great options include hearty stews or firm cheeses like Gouda or Parmesan.
