White Châteauneuf-du-Pape is pretty special. And this seriously fine example is one you don’t want to miss.
It’s from the cellars of the legendary Diffonty family, who’ve been Rhône Valley winegrowers since 1673. We go way back with current proprietor Jean-Marc Diffonty, which is a very good thing for you.
He always sets aside a small parcel of his luscious Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc for us – and the 2018 is exceptional. But you needn't take our word for it; among its critical acclaim (so far!) are a pair of 90-point ratings from Rhône expert Jeb Dunnuck and Decanter, plus a 92-point rave from Wine Spectator: “Lively, with a mix of star fruit, white peach, honeysuckle and fennel notes racing along. The bright, open-knit finish leaves a mouthwatering echo.”
