Didier Chopin Brut Champagne Rosé NV

Didier Chopin Brut Champagne Rosé NV
This “seductive” Champagne (Gilbert & Gaillard) comes from a family-run boutique in the Vallée de la Marne—aka top Pinot country. Bursting with fresh red berry and biscuit notes, it’s made in very small batches—and tastes all the better for it.

Beyond the Label

There’s a revolution going on in Champagne. Small growers are now bottling their own Champagne (instead of selling it to the Grande Marques)—with a firm focus on quality.

Didier Chopin was way ahead of the pack. Since 1989, he’s built up three hectares of vineyards in La Vallée de la Marne (the spot in Champagne for growing Pinot Noir). Tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Le Paradis—literally, ‘paradise’—he tends his vines meticulously with his wife Karin. And the fruits of their labor speak for themselves.

Didier’s rosé Brut is a rich blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Pinot Meunier (40%) aged five years on its lees for extra complexity—it won gold medals in France’s important Gilbert & Gaillard guide in 2014 and 2016. Here’s what they had to say:

“Inviting fruity nose of berry fruits and lychee. More of the same fruit aromatics on the palate which combines power and freshness. Seductive presence on the palate and persistence.”

We’re very proud to bring you an exclusive taste of this fine Champagne at such a great price. As with most grower Champagnes, quantity is strictly limited, so you’ll have to hurry for your share.
