Luciani Brunello di Montalcino 2013
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

“If you want to experience the energy, elegance, and ageworthy structure that first drew wine lovers and collectors to Brunello di Montalcino decades ago, then 2013 is your vintage.”
– Wine Enthusiast
Ask any wine merchant about Brunello 2013 and you’ll likely hear two things: how utterly incredible a vintage it was (see above), and how difficult it’s becoming to find a truly great bottle. But thanks to a new friendship struck with a top family, we’re thrilled to present you with one.
And not just any one. In addition to dual 90-point scores from The Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast, James Suckling rated it 92 points: “Full body, tight and layered. Excellent density. … beautiful already.”
The acclaim comes as no shock, really: The Luciani clan have been crafting fine wines in Tuscany since 1888, so they’re drawing on generations of expertise. Aged 36 months in premium Slavonian oak barrels, this stunner is a perfect example of everything that critics are loving about this special year. And, like all fine-caliber Brunello, it’s very age-worthy, with a decade of pleasure (or more) ahead of it, if you can bear to wait that long.
Here’s The Wine Advocate’s take on what to expect in the glass: “A dark and heady expression with dark fruit nuances backed by spice, leather and fragrant licorice. This wine brings on more power and substance than your average 2013 Brunello.” Utterly begging to be sipped with a special dinner – try pepper-crusted New York strips topped with aged Asiago cheese shavings.
