His Waxed Bat, from the premium (high-altitude) enclave of Mendoza, is always a huge hit with customers, show judges and critics. Decanter World Wine Awards judges once described it as “so thick you could paint with it.”
This beauty has a long history of acclaim, and the 2023 edition has continued the tradition, boasting a gold medal from France’s Gilbert & Gaillard wine guide. The judges praised its “aromas of cassis, strawberry jam and an elegant graphite touch…juicy tannins that together with its young acidity give a wine with a lasting imprint.”
