Tierras de la Fuente Blanco 2018

Tierras de la Fuente Blanco 2018
Talented winemaker Tomás Buendía crafted this crisp Spanish white with grapes from old bush vines – which produce small quantities of intensely concentrated, flavorful fruit. A delicious match for fresh seafood or summer salads.

Beyond the Label

When it comes to thrilling, great-value whites, Spain is definitely a country to keep on your radar. Taste for yourself with this vibrant discovery from the highly acclaimed Fontana Bodegas & Viñedos and head winemaker Tomás Buendía.

Tomás has a sky-high quality advantage, literally. His family vineyard, located just south of Madrid, is perched at over 2,500 feet above sea level. At this altitude, his old, low-yielding vines are buffeted by chilly winds at night and baked in the hot sun all day. This setup yields grapes (and wines) with wonderfully expressive aromas and flavors.

Tierras de la Fuente marries native grape Airén – the most-planted variety in all of Spain – and international Chardonnay. The previous vintage made the Top 100 list at the Wines From Spain Awards, and we think the fresh 2018 edition is every bit as impressive. You’re in for layers of ripe lime, pear, and green apple flavor.

This is exactly the kind of mouthwatering white Spanish locals would sip at a tapas bar (alongside fried calamari, salads, and more). Order your share today.
