Ordering & Payment
How do I create an online account?
You can create a WSJ Wine online account during checkout - it takes just a few seconds. Enter your email and a password (at least 8 characters and including at least one number) when prompted, and your account will be set up automatically with your order.
If I've ordered from you before, do I already have an online account?
Yes - if you've ordered from WSJ Wine before, you most likely already have an online account. Use your existing email to reset your password and log in. If your email isn't on file, simply create a new account during checkout.
Can I place an order without creating an account?
Yes - you can place a WSJ Wine order without creating an account by selecting the Guest option at checkout. We recommend creating an account, however, because it lets you securely store your shipping and payment details, track order status, and rate the wines you've received.
I saw something I’d like to order in your monthly mailing. How do I find it online?
To find a wine featured in our monthly mailing, enter the Item Code or product name into the search box on the WSJ Wine homepage. If a product isn't appearing, it has likely sold out - we update inventory continuously. For help finding a similar wine, email customerservice@wsjwine.com.
What types of payment do you accept?
WSJ Wine accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.
Can I make changes to my order?
Yes - you can change your payment method or shipping address as long as your order has not yet been sent to our warehouse for processing. Processing can begin as soon as 30 minutes after you confirm your order. To request a change, either call 1-877-975-9463 or email customerservice@wsjwine.com with your unique order ID (found in your confirmation email) as soon as possible.
I’m looking for a wine I tried elsewhere. Can you get it for me?
Unfortunately, WSJ Wine cannot order in wines we don't normally stock. Many of our wines are exclusive and come from smaller, boutique wineries.
Our Personal Wine Advisors would be happy to recommend a customized alternative from our range - call 1-888-863-7384, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m–9 p.m and Saturday, 9 a.m-6 p.m ET.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is charged only when your WSJ Wine order is sent to our warehouse for processing - not at the moment you place the order. At checkout, we place a pre-authorization on your card, which is not an actual charge but may appear as a 'pending charge' for 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.
How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your WSJ Wine order only if it has not yet been sent to our warehouse for processing. Processing can begin as soon as 30 minutes after you confirm your order.
To cancel, call 1-877-975-9463 or email customerservice@wsjwine.com as soon as possible with your order ID.
I have been charged for wines that I don't remember ordering—what is this?
An unexpected charge from WSJ Wine is most likely your quarterly wine club case. Wine club cases ship automatically on a recurring schedule.
If you would prefer not to receive them, email customerservice@wsjwine.com and our team will adjust or cancel your wine club membership.
Is there a limit on how much wine I can order?
The sale of alcohol is governed and regulated differently by every state. As such, certain states impose a limit on the number of bottles/liters of wine that can be shipped to each resident.
If you have any further questions, drop us a line at customerservice@wsjwine.com.

California Recycling Fee
What is the California Recycling Fee?
California CRV (California Redemption Value) is a fee added to the purchase of certain beverages in California. It incentivizes recycling by offering a refund for returning eligible containers to a certified recycling center. Effective January 1, 2024 wine containers have been included into the scheme.
What containers are eligible for CRV?
Eligible containers include most glass, plastic, and aluminum beverage containers that are 24 ounces or less (CRV fee is 5 cents), more than 24 ounces (CRV fee is 10 cents) and Bag-In-Box (CRV fee is 25 cents).
How do I redeem CRV containers?
To redeem CRV containers, take them to a certified recycling center. You will receive a refund based on the number and size of the containers. Certified recycling centers can be found using the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) website https://www2.calrecycle.ca.gov/WhereToRecycle/
