Flavor Profile

Wine Flavor Profile
Villa Broglia is a crisp, dry white with aromas of fresh white flowers, hints of peach and anise. The palate is dry and balanced. Delicate citrus and stone fruit flavors lead to a distinct almond note on the finish.

Beyond the Label

Crafted in premium Piedmont and renowned for its elegance and finesse, Gavi is northern Italy’s top white. ‘Gavi di Gavi’ on the label denotes the best vineyards, and Villa Broglia “makes some of the finest wines in the Gavi appellation,” says expert Antonio Galloni.

Historically, their wines have been quaffed by diplomats and popes, and for more than 30 years, star winemaker Donato Lanati has been keeping the family wine legacy alive in the cellar. Always a smash-hit with critics (International Wine Challenge judges rated one release 95 points and called it “Gavi di Gavi at its best”), the vibrant 2020 edition has already been rated 93 points by leading Italian critic Luca Maroni and 90 points by expert James Suckling. His tasting note: "Ripe melon and savory minerals on the nose. Floral notes, too. Medium-bodied with a silky texture, persistent fruit and tight minerals on the finish. Quietly intense."

Bursting with perfumed floral aromas and ripe stone-fruit flavors, it’s a perfect aperitivo and equally tasty with food. Try a well-chilled glass with fresh seafood, simple pastas or creamy risottos.
