Domaine Rabier 2018

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Winemaker Eric Gautier has spent his life in search of aroma and flavor perfection. He started out in perfume, before bartending in Barbados, and finally earning his Master of Viticulture in Burgundy. After graduation, he settled in France’s Rhône Valley to make wine with his friend (and ex-rocker) Sébastien Rabier.
Today, Eric and Sébastien craft impressive wines at their estate in Laudun, a village ideally located between storied Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Lirac. Eric calls himself “a super-ripe specialist” and pushes the grapes to achieve maximum ripeness. It’s a risky business, but the rewards are great, as you’ll taste in their signature release.
Domaine Rabier 2018 is a traditional, Grenache-based blend that won gold medals at two top French competitions. You’re in for ripe mulberry, black cherry, and classic garrigue (wild herb) characters, plus a sumptuous, full-bodied palate and structured, food-friendly tannins. It’s a delicious match for game meats, hearty casseroles, and much more.
All the richness of Châteauneuf at a much friendlier price. Hurry to be among the first to taste this blockbuster Rhône red.
