When we originally launched the 2008 vintage of Vecciano, the Barbanera family’s flagship Super Tuscan, it sold out in record time.
It now has a cult following and loads of ‘Favorite’ clicks. To thank you for all the love, the Barbaneras have sent a Library Release of the acclaimed 2008, bottled in impressive, 1.5-liter magnums (the equivalent of two bottles in one).
At 11 years of age, it’s smoother, mellower, and more complex than ever. Critic Luca Maroni rated it 98 points, calling it “one of the all-time great Super Tuscans.”
This has everything Vecciano fans adore: subtly spicy cherry aromas, a luxurious rounded palate full of rich black fruit and elegant vanilla flavors, and delicate food-friendly tannins that make it delicious with everything from hearty pastas to bacon-wrapped filet mignon.
