While still warm and sunny, Riverina is cooler than most of Australia, making it one of the few areas where white grape varieties can thrive. And thanks to the excellent 2018 vintage, Bill had his pick of perfectly ripened Chardonnay. Back in the winery, he chose to age the wine for six months in fine French oak barrels, which added a creamy-complex texture and subtle oak notes to the Chardonnay’s naturally vibrant melon and peach flavors.
