Beyond the Label

From the southern seaside enclave of Algrave, in Portugal, Al-Ria Tinto is a blend of heat-loving varieties Touriga Nacional (star grape of Port) and Syrah. Intensely concentrated, it offers serious dark fruit across an ultimiately staifying finsh.

Wine Spectator has mused that Portugal is “the most exciting wine place on the planet.” And Algarve is our pick for the country’s most exciting region—we think you’ll see why after a sip of this fantastic red.

It's made by the talented Diogo Sepúlveda, who wanted to prove that the sun-drenched popular vacation destination could produce head-turning wines. And he really has succeeded.

Look forward to generous aromas of ripe plum and blackberry, plus subtle spice and minty tones. And on the palate, intense notes of ripe, dark fruit. Smooth tannins frame the long finish.

It’s got quite the history of acclaim, and considering the modest price tag, this is seriously unbeatable value. Prompt orders would be wise—this beauty won’t last long.
