Wine Flavor Profile
Black Saint Peter Reserve is a full-bodied red wine with expressive bramble fruit and cocoa powder aromas. The palate is luxuriously rich, with ripe black plum, black cherry, fig and baking spice flavors. Smooth tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
Beyond the Label

The original Black Saint Peter is our #1 Zinfandel of all time. Naturally, we’re thrilled to introduce you to this even richer, more luxurious edition, which boasts multiple awards.

Black Saint Peter Reserve hails from Lodi, “one of the top wine regions in the country,” where “winemakers have quietly started producing some of the state’s best wines” (vinepair.com). More importantly for Zinfandel fans, Lodi is home to many of California’s oldest Zinfandel vines, affectionately called “Black Saint Peters.” These gnarled heirlooms yield precious little fruit, but the grapes they do produce are exceptionally concentrated and flavorful.

Furthermore, these vines are located in a sustainably farmed vineyard in Lodi’s historic Mokelumne River district. The land is certified under the Lodi Rules—an official certification for sustainable winegrowing and winemaking.

Crafted from old-vine Zinfandel and aged for six months in oak, Black Saint Peter Reserve marks a serious step up from the original release. It’s the kind of wine you’ll want to serve at a dinner party or other special occasion. Look for layer after layer of velvety black plum, black cherry, fig and baking spice notes.

One more thing: The Mokelumne River district is becoming increasingly known for wines with a soft, gentle palate and rich, expressive fruit qualities. Much of this is attributed to the appellation’s climate, which offers long growing seasons of moderate to warm temperatures. That, along with oak aging, makes Black Saint Peter Reserve Zinfandel a very elegant red wine.

Black Saint Peter’s legion of fans will be racing to get this special Reserve in their glasses. Hurry for your share.
