Beyond the Label

Boise River Cellars Chardonnay is exactly the kind of wine we love to share with you—a high-quality, uniquely American white from a hardworking family estate.

It hails from Telaya Wine Co., a past Idaho Winery of the Year where family lies at the center of every decision. Earl and Carrie Sullivan founded the estate because they felt their careers pulling them in divergent directions. So, they decided to build a business where they could work together and model hard work, perseverance and entrepreneurship for their sons, while leveraging their experience in international travel and science, respectively.

This family-first philosophy extends into every aspect of the business—the winery team they treat like kin, the customers they warmly welcome and the family-owned vineyards with which they partner. The grapes for this lovely Chardonnay come from the renowned Skyline Vineyard in Idaho’s Snake River Valley, an American Viticultural region with roots dating back to the 1800s.

Despite its long history, Snake River Valley is only recently getting its due recognition as a world-class wine region. The area benefits from high elevations (which create dramatic day-to-night temperature shifts that concentrate flavors in grapes), harsh winters that help vines grow hardier and diverse glacial soils that enhance structure and complexity in the wines—as you’ll taste here.

Boise River Cellars offers creamy yet vibrant style of Chardonnay, with luscious tropical fruit and bright citrus zest notes balanced by rich butterscotch and subtle caramel flavors. Best enjoyed while it’s young and fresh, it pairs well with grilled seafood, roasted chicken, white-sauced pastas and more.

What’s the catch? To keep quality high, the Telaya team only makes this wine in small batches, so only 550 cases exist. Hurry to secure yours.
