CA-BEAR-NAY Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
When a California grower’s Merlot grapes disappeared from the vine, he put up a camera and discovered the local bears were helping themselves. Luckily, they left the Cabernet Sauvignon behind, and from it came this lush, black-fruited beauty.

Beyond the Label

CA-BEAR-NAY Cabernet Sauvignon bursts with bold black-fruit flavors across a smooth, juicy finish. But what makes it most memorable isn’t just the taste—it’s the wild story of how this wine came to life.

Each growing season, the California grower behind the wine would notice whole bunches disappearing from his vines. After years of puzzling, he put up a security camera, and discovered a family of local bears snacking on his grapes.

They would go exclusively for his Merlot because it was quickest to ripen on the vine. Then, they’d seemingly be too full and leave the Cab Sauvignon behind. When our California expert went hunting for a sumptuous Cab, she was impressed with the grower’s fruit quality…and even more charmed by the story. Left unoaked to allow its pure fruit flavors to shine, the wine was named CA-BEAR-NAY in honor of those pesky bears.

Look forward to rich black fruit aromas and flavors––think blackberry, black cherry and black currant––with velvety tannins and long finish. It’s smooth enough to enjoy on its own, and a tasty match for barbecue or hearty stews.

Order your share today––and don’t forget to tell your guests the amazing story as your pour. That is, if you can bear to share this luscious Cab.
