At the 18th-century Château Le Pré du Moine, the Charrut family harvested gloriously ripe Merlot and Cabernet for their special 'Cuvée Peyrou,' which then went on to win a prestigious gold medal.
This is classic Bordeaux, with all the ripeness of the 2016 vintage, plus a freshness that keeps you coming back for more. Decant an hour before serving – this will ‘open up’ the wine’s wild strawberry and cassis flavors – then enjoy with roasted red meats or hard cheeses. Delicious.
