Beyond the Label

Although the reds get most of the attention, France’s famous Bordeaux region also produces some of the world’s finest whites. Taste for yourself with this eight-time gold medalist from Château Les Moutins, a family-run estate since 1852, and the talented Jean Gueridon.

Jean and his team crafted this elegant white from Sauvignon Blanc and a small portion of Sémillon. Thanks to his carefully tended, 40+ year-old vines and the superb quality of the 2020 vintage, the grapes were beautifully concentrated. Three months’ lees aging completes the recipe, adding further richness and complexity to the final wine.

You’ll enjoy expressive lemon and white peach aromas, supported by delicate blossom and fresh-cut grass notes. The palate is finely structured, with a creamy texture and roundness, balanced by vibrant freshness. Delicious sipped on its own or when paired with seafood or fresh goat cheese and herbed crackers.

But don’t just take our word for it—this lovely white has won eight gold medals (so far!) at top wine shows worldwide. Check out the full list below and act soon to secure your share.
