The brilliant sunshine and lengthy, dry growing season ripened the grapes to perfection and created seriously intense, concentrated flavors. In the cellar, aging in French and American oak barrels softened the tannins and added intriguing spice notes.
Look forward to concentrated black currant, dark berry and licorice aromas. The palate is juicy and rounded, with well-integrated tannins, rich black-fruit flavors plus hints of chocolate and ginger spice (from the oak aging) on the finish. A great match for roasted or barbecued meats.
