We could only entrust such a special wine to a truly remarkable winemaker. Enter William Knuttel, a Napa legend with experience at famous estates Saintsbury and Chalk Hill, and a former president of the California Cabernet Society. Bill, as he’s known to friends like us, used his extensive connections to source beautifully ripe fruit from one of Napa’s most iconic wineries.
In the cellar, he pulled out all the stops to produce a Cabernet with deep color and incredible flavor concentration. The finishing touch? The wine was aged for 23 months in French oak barrels. This process imparted wonderful structure and polished tannins, along with adding notes of cocoa powder, vanilla bean and toasted oak to the wine’s sumptuous black-fruit flavors.
It’s a wine worthy of a special occasion and a fine meal. Its firm structure and rich flavors will pair particularly well with juicy cuts of meat.
