Flavor Profile
When our California wine expert Kristina tasted through the latest batch of reds from one of our fave Golden State producers, a single word sprang to mind: Lustrum, a mix of lust and luster. Though each had its own nuances, they all seemed to offer a patina of lusciously ripe fruit flavors. And this deeply concentrated and vibrantly perfumed Lustrum Petite Sirah is, thankfully, no exception.
It’s made with grapes from a family-owned Certified California Sustainable vineyard near the town of Ripon, in the state’s abundant northern interior. There, the grapes bask in ample sunlight, ripen to perfection and create an opulent inky purple colored wine we know you’ll love.
Immediately appealing, it wafts enchanting aromas of black fruits and cocoa that follow through to a palate dominated by more fruit flavor and nuanced mocha tones. With just a touch of black pepper playing out across a long finish, it’s a satisfying wine from first pour to last sip.
Delicious on its own, it would also be a welcome companion to hearty meat dishes, smoky or nutty cheeses, and earthy vegetarian fare.
Only a small lot of this wine was produced, so hurry to order yours today.
