Beyond the Label

“Portugal is one of the most dynamic wine-producing nations in the world today,” writes Wine Spectator. Taste the proof for yourself with Portinho do Côvo, a unique red blend with luscious berry flavors from renowned winemaker Jaime Quendera.

Jaime is a past winner of the ‘Best Red Wine in the World’ trophy at Vinalies Internationales, the organization behind a number of international wine competitions, both in France and abroad. So, you could say he knows a thing or two about making world-class reds.

For this one, he selected a mix of native Portuguese Castelão and internationally beloved Syrah from seaside vineyards along the Península de Setúbal, located near the harbor of Port Côvo. (The former grape creates a ripe, succulent character, while the latter lends rich red fruit flavors.)

Sumptuous, yet still elegant, Portinho do Côvo will shine with roasted red meats, hearty winter stews and more—but it’s smooth enough to enjoy on its own, too.

Portugal’s rich reds remain something of an insider’s secret for now, but that’s quickly changing. Secure your case while our limited stocks last.
