Beyond the Label

“Whether you favor Riesling or Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Syrah, Washington can deliver pure fruit flavors and distinctive character at prices that won’t break the bank.”
—Wine Spectator

Washington’s signature style of Merlot is particularly lovely, as you’ll taste with Ricochet Merlot. It’s a deliciously smooth, fruit-forward red wine that will have you coming back for more.

The winemaking team sourced the grapes from two of the finest appellations in Washington’s Columbia Valley. Some came from the Yakima Valley, the state’s first officially recognized wine region, where a moderate growing season and sunny, sloping vineyards produce fresh, ripe fruit. The rest come from Horse Heaven Hills, an area with brilliant sunshine, rich alluvial soils and a wide diurnal temperature range, all of which make for grapes with concentrated, complex flavors.

These qualities shine through in the final wine. Look forward to ripe, rich notes of blackberry and plum, with just a hint of tasty cocoa. This silky-smooth red will be a treat on its own, but it also pairs well with roasted meats, hearty pastas and creamy vegetarian dishes like mushroom risotto.
