Alessandro’s “visionary” blend has a 93-point score from critic Luca Maroni and a gold medal from leading wine guide Gilbert & Gaillard. It marries local and international grapes from the Friuli and Venezie regions. The Tocai Friulano gives it body; Sauvignon Blanc imparts citrus notes; Chardonnay adds ripe stone-fruit and apple flavors; and late-harvested Gewu?rztraminer lends delicate perfume and elderflower notes to its juicy, rounded finish.
Alessandro tells us, “I crafted this blend to showcase the beguiling quality of northeastern Italy's white wines. I wanted to make a wine that was particularly aromatic and richly flavored, selecting different parcels of grapes with classic varietal expression, which together exemplify the elegant and refreshing style for which this region is famous.”
Enjoy it as a mouthwatering aperitivo, alongside grilled chicken or with fresh seafood dishes like mussels fra diavolo, grilled calamari or herb-roasted branzino.
