Momtazi family estate pinot noir
Moe Momtazi and his wife Flora escaped Iran on a motorcycle in 1982—being chased by Revolutionary Guards while Flora was eight month’s pregnant with their first child. They ended up settling in Oregon’s scenic Willamette Valley, which was just emerging as a top wine destination, especially for Pinot Noir.
Today, they run the estate with their three daughters. Together, they create some of the most singular, deliciously complex, age-worthy Pinot Noirs in the United States (if not the world).
