redheads 1888 Cabernet
In the early 2000s, a group of Australia’s top winemakers began a little after-hours experiment in a shuttered restaurant called RedHeads, where one of them had secured some discarded winery equipment, plus a pinball machine and a beer fridge. The resulting wines were nothing short of brilliant—small-batch creations unlike anything else on the market that stunned critics.
Today, the RedHeads name and rebellious spirit remains, but the operation has grown up a lot, with a deep focus on sustainability and a range of award-winning wines. Their 1888 Cab has been a mainstay and for the first time ever, you can taste the evolution of their style with a three-vintage set of the acclaimed bottling.
